As long as there’s access to the lake, and willing divers, we’ll be doing shore dives every weekend, all winter long!
During the Summer our 40′ Pontoon Boat takes SCUBA divers out on Skaneateles Lake all summer long!
There’s plenty of room to stow gear and still be able the stretch out and enjoy the ride and the boat is quipped with Side Scan Sonar to give us a “picture” of the sites before we dive them.
Grandad departs every Wednesday and Friday evening, and Saturday afternoon from Sevey’s Boatyard on the west shore of Skaneateles Lake. It’s a fantastic way to make a Wednesday evening feel like a vacation, or make Friday feel like the start of a holiday.
Every dive is for everyone! The boat anchors in 10′-20′ of water where the bottom slopes as deep or as shallow as you want to go. You can stay in 10′ of water and watch the cool fish or go for a long, deep dive following a wall and see millions of years of geology, including fossils.
Every trip is staffed by a New York State licensed boat pilot and a Divemaster to make your boat ride and diving more enjoyable.
Have a non-diving spouse or friend? Sign them up as a bubble-watcher and they can snorkel, swim and play in the water while you’re diving.
